Just thought you might want to know that I decided to rent a room out yesterday afternoon, then found your website and placed an ad. Then straight after placing an ad I did a search and found someone who fitted the bill and so texted him. Long story short he was on my doorstep to view a half hour later and we had a cup of tea and a chat etc ... and later that evening, he phoned to take the room. Ad was placed around 4.30pm ..he was viewing by 5.30pm ... it was all sorted after that and he moves in in about 2 weeks time. Never expected to find someone so fast ... thought it could take weeks as I am quite particular etc ... certainly didnt expect it to happen in within an hour lol. Excellent
Thank you to Spareroom.com a great service, which allows you to search for your ideal house mate, unlike other sites that are far more expensive with no search facility, and left to chance. I have had constant enquires as a landlord and also had the facility to match my requirement's with others one week and all is done and dusted, Thank you very much ten out of ten.

Thanks for this. I am very careful in protecting our tenants and ourselves from frauds of this kind. We always check references, personally interview the potential tenant, get them to meet the other tenants and then make a decision. I found the event to be well organised in a good, central, suitably sized venue that generated a decent atmosphere. The split of north and south of the river was a good idea. I attended the Speed Flatmating event last Thursday and really enjoyed it! I was looking for a room to rent as I'm starting a job in Central London, however I currently live in Devon and the prospect of hunting for rooms on my weekends off filled me dread!! The event was a fantastic way of chatting to potential flatmates without there being pressure to make a decision about the room like there would be on a normal viewing! I met a number of really nice people (both looking for a room and offering a room) and felt comfortable chatting to just about everyone...the location was great and really easy to get to. All members of the spareroom.co.uk staff were fantastic, really approachable and friendly. The pricing of the event was just right; I liked the fact that confidence could be heightened with a free drink! I was so pleased I attended the event and as a result have found a place to move in to, so a big big thank you for organising the night.
