Large Room (Lgbtq+ Friendly Household)

Student preferred (not a deal breaker). Female preferred. Available from 24th July 2024. Very near RD&E (8 minute walk) , and St Lukes campus (12 minute walk).

On street parking with parking permit (£35 per year via Devon County Council).

Safe bike storage in rear garden, through locked gate.

This room is available at £450 per calender month. The room has recently been redecorated. There is a large Ikea cupboard, and Ikea shelves and storage. A single bed, a computer desk and a glass Ikea side table.

Other people in the house:

Myself, a female self-employed artist.. I also do yoga, and practise meditation daily. My native language is English, but I speak pretty good Italian. I also speak a smattering of Russian (a bit rusty!), and I am learning Japanese. I work a lot, so I'm mostly conked out in my room. However, I do love a nice chat if you happen to catch me in the kitchen slaving over a hot stove.

My two sons: 17 year old, studying for 4 A levels. Nearly 19 year old working. I think it's worth mentioning there are no other teenagers coming in and out. Both my sons are a little shy, studious, quiet and hard working, and mostly keep to their rooms.

One other lodger.

One cat who is very sweet. His name is Tenshi, which means 'Angel' in Japanese!!

This is a peaceful and friendly household and would suit a person who needs and enjoys this kind of atmosphere.

For those who enjoy cooking, we have a rice cooker, a bread maker, an air fryer, a nutribullet which you are welcome to use. As well as a standard oven and gas hob. All cooking pans, plates, cups and cutlery etc. are shared. Bedding is included. But please provide your own towels.

There is a washing machine and a dishwasher and a freezer.

RD&E is 8-10 minutes walk away. St Lukes campus is 12 minutes walk away. Walking into town takes 20 minutes. Local ammenities are 3 minutes walk, with a supermarket, post office, cafes, a gym, charity shops and a garage, plus bus stops to a multitude of Devon locations. Also nearby is a huge and leafy park with a community cafe. There is a doctors surgery and a dentist opposite the house.

There is a bus stop opposite the house with regular services into town, and a corner shop just up the street.
